The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

  2. How exciting the Adventure is underway.
Hope it is warmer than Ballarat and Melbourne which are going through a cold snap at the moment.
Tash Report: Good except for "stealing" her and Dale and Tiny's bones before we were ready to leave to go into town for a few hours. We usually put the bones on the outside cabinet and give to the dogs as we leave. Not so this time - they were gone, crunch, crunch!!! Kerstin, the parcel arrived from your parents and the Lindt chocolate is a bonus. Great excitement from Joe and Werner!!! Big plantings to happen - Werner and Ingrid to translate the packet instructions for us.

  4. Hey, guys - I don't know how to send you music, but the thought occurred to me that we should have given you a song for this journey. It is a song by one of my favorite folk artists, who happens to be from Minneapolis, Minnesota! Her name is Ann Reed, and the song is called "Every long journey". It is a beautiful song, I think, and very appropriate for the adventure you two are on. If you two are able to access that and have a listen, I'd love that. Failing that, you might be able to tell me how I can send it to you. Love, Jackie (and my beauty)

  5. 75km that's a walk in the park for you guys. What's with the ferry? Can't you swim, add a walk it's a tri-athlon. Me I like my bike, four wheels and a motor. Louise the cow calved, had a heifer. Should we name it Seattle?

    Kathrin
