The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

Day 2 South Whidbey Island to Deception Pass 62km

Accompanied all day by frigidly cold wind, making fingers numb and nose drip. Except for this wind we were reminded of another island in Denmark (our honeymoon spot). We begin to develop a routine for a cycling day, learning how to pack and unpack etc... Absolutely huge state park, we had campsite 193! Reward of the day was beautiful homemade veggie soup followed by a spectacular sunset over Puget Sound. We hope for warmer weather soon :)

  1. Wow! That photo looks like you could be in Minnesota's Boundary Waters!! But it's an ocean bay, I take it. No loons then... :(

    Beauty of a sunset though!
