The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

Ice cream heaven

Wisconsin has us discovering new passions. One is hunting for dodgy postcards and another one is indulging in ice cream treats. As the Dairy Capital of the US the expectations to find premium ice cream are high. And we are not disappointed! At the Mad Dog Jake's Cafe in Boulder Junction I just went back for seconds... I can highly recommend this brand:


As for the postcards this is a warning. There are some postcards on the way to several overseas destinations that may require a good sense of humor. Not that they intend to be funny but they are just a little 'different'. So if you are the lucky recipient of a postcard that says 'Hello Everyone' and has a ordinary picture of a lake and a fisherman - then congratulations! You received the winning postcard of Louise's Wisconsin Postcard competition. You are allowed to think the same we did: 'what were they thinking?!'.
