In hobbit like fashion the first 22 miles were unmentionable until my attitude was turned around by a "second breakfast" of copious cups of hot coffee, eggs over medium, hash browns and french toast with syrup. My outlook was also considerably improved with the info that Grand Teton NP, our destination, runs a shuttle service within the park. A day of rest from lycra and road dirt was closer than anticipated! Fueled up in this fashion the cold headwind, the hills and narrow roads without shoulders didn't bother me nearly so much. But I remained horrified and impressed that the cyclists coming the other direction felt that it was warm enough for shirtless cycling, when I had only just shed my thermals. It must get bloody cold in their home turf of upstate New York! Our entrance into Grand Teton NP may have lacked the fanfare of Yellowstone but, really, the mountain range speaks for itself.

Home to 12 glaciers, with peaks soaring to 4100m, we are truly in an amazingly beautiful place, still lucky!

Thanks for sharing such a beautiful pic! How each of us experiences temperatures differently is amazing. I am certain that coming from the way far north as I do, I too would find it to be warm enough to strip down. I mean really, I have been rather warm up here in AK this summer, even after a time of melting in St. Maarten! LOL I do hear though, that you are traveling towards quite the heat wave....
