The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

Audrey & Mrs. Robinson back in shape!
Just a quick but huge thank you to the magic bike mechanic at Hellgate Cyclery in Missoula. Not only are our Surly bikes in the best shape since we left Australia but also were they prepared to squeeze in our short notice service request on a super busy Saturday. Our bicycle minds are now at ease and we are looking forward to taking Audrey and Mrs. Robinson towards the more serious 'stuff' that will be coming up on our way to Yellowstone. Cheers!

Happy 4th July(sorry bit late, still 4th here)and great to hear about lovely hospitality. Glad you made it to the Cycling headquarters and yourselves and bicycles refreshed. Your photo really shows the load you are carrying. Wild, wet, v windy, Wintery blast has hit here
ReplyDeleteso we are hibernating with the fire - cosy says Tash - her very first day without a run. She is funny, found her last night squished into Tiny's bed. We had visitors yesterday who had a Maltese doggy thing which couldn't stay still. Owner apprehesive because of prior Greyhound "bad" experience but Tash totally ignored the motorised furball!! Another visitor today loved her. Actually she was an Energy Assessor as we have joined a Study on energy use and savings. Really interesting. Hope you find good food and roads. Love xxx
