The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

Happy Sunday Morning!
How convenient when the drive-through espresso shop is right next to the campground! We are enjoying a beautiful Sunday breakfast. Louise announced convincingly that by the end of the trip we would order the 22oz size cup. That was before she struggled with this 16oz Hazelnut Latte...

Mmmm Hazelnut! I am very proud of you two! What an incredible time in history to be doing what you are doing! We can only hope that those you meet realize how unique your adventure may become in the future.
ReplyDeleteBig Sky Montana! What a place! The state of my birth....It has much to offer in western/cowboy culture. Have a Yeehaw time!
you forgot your cowgirl hat to go with your cowgirl coffee :)
ReplyDeleteThinking of you girls and wishing you could have been here for the 2nd July with us!
Keep up the good paddle work!
Oh, God...that does sound AWFUL!!! What's with all the flats??? Is it stuff on the road, or something with the tires? Or both? God, how aggravating!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, riding on roads with little or no shoulders is VERY offputting...a bit like riding in Sydney, really!
Thank goodness you're together, eh? It's good too to trade off...one day one person isn't having the best day, but the other person is more 'up', and then it sounds like it's been swapping around for you guys.
Well...mountain weather...it stays cold for a lot longer in the season, eh? I can hardly wait to hear about Glacier!
Ride on, women! We're proud of you!
Love, Jackie, Liz and Scout (who got a brand new red color this weekend, which she is wearing very proudly).
By the way, Louise, Bill Bryson has had me laughing to the point of tears sometimes. Recently I read the chapter on reading the instructions on setting up your computer. Hilarious! Great recommendation, mate.
