The bike is good project began life in 2011 as a transcontinental bicycle adventure. As we pedalled from Seattle to Boston it grew into something even bigger. Life from the bike became life as we knew it, a way of engaging with the world that was much richer and honest than we had previously known. On our return to Australia we have tried to continue in the b.i.g. spirit, still happiest pedalling!

Day 5 - post b.i.g. ride - Rockport, MA

You will be pleased to hear that our symbolic and seasonal b.i.g. finisher trophy is slowly transforming into food and it comes back in a soup bowl or in the shape of a pumpkin pie. The bikeisgood girls are currently attending the 'Triple R' program: reflecting, relaxing and recovering. They are in the best of hands with their dear friend Dr. Katie Kilty - who is not only being a 5-star host but who is also making sure that they receive a professional debriefing that is in the same league as the one for an Olympic Athlete.

  1. And so this chapter comes to an amazing close. May you find the time to take forward the many gifts and strengths that came your way through determination, endurance, tears, frustration, smiles, hills, wind, rain, snow, bears, and love!
